Let's face it, we live in a time where a busy, fast paced existence has become the new normal. Many of us are struggling to find the balance between our personal and professional lives and often lose track of our dreams and the things that matter to us. We're striving for a definition of success that isn't necessarily our own, but it doesn't have to be this way.
In the new book, Simple Soulful Sacred, renowned women's mentor and bestselling author Megan Dalla-Camina draws upon decades of experience helping modern women rise to provide a guidebook for those wanting to learn how to lead a more meaningful, purposeful and soul aligned life. Megan shows readers how to get clear on what you truly want, own your feminine power and claim what's sacred.
Written with the time-poor reader in mind, the book includes 200 short-form chapters which explore themes of simplicity, livelihood, wellbeing, comfort, soulfulness, consciousness, courage, sacredness, womanhood and sovereignty – all too often lost in the busyness and distractions of daily life.
If you're looking to build a greater connection to what's really important and more clarity on what you want and how to redefine womanhood, and success, for yourself – then Simple Soulful Sacred is your trusted guide for creating a more intentional life on your own terms.

Question: What inspired you to write Simple Soulful Sacred?
Megan Dalla-Camina: I wrote Simple Soulful Sacred as a guidebook for modern women, to support them to create clarity on how they want to live their lives, do purposeful work, feel more confident, and redefine womanhood for themselves. It's a journey about coming home to who we truly are, and finding comfort and joy along the way. I wrote it in short chapter format, so that even the busiest woman can read a bit sized chapter each night before she goes to sleep, and receive inspiration and wisdom, feel empowered, and feel hopeful that she can truly create the life she wants.
Question: What are the wellness practices we should implement into our lives, today?
Megan Dalla-Camina: There are many supportive wellness practices covered in the book. The essential ones that are relevant for everyone are sleep, meditation, nourishment through wholefood nutrition and movement. If we can make these nonnegotiable, we can find that our wellness takes a paradigm shift for the positive. An example that many people resist is meditation. We think that it's too hard, that we can't quiet our mind, we can't sit still – but it's one of the greatest pathways to peace and resilience, as well as productivity, better sleep, greater connection with ourselves and also with others. It's a simple practice that requires discipline for sure. Yet even five minutes of meditation each day can have a profound effect on our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
Question: How is having a more meaningful, purposeful and soul aligned life related to building confidence?
Megan Dalla-Camina: When we are anchored in meaning and purpose, and connected to what our soul is calling for, we are living in alignment. We feel most like ourselves, more lit up about our lives, more grounded in our sense of self. It's so much easier to take aligned action and to feel empowered to move in the direction we long to, from this place. Confidence is really about turning our thoughts into action – the ability to take steps forward and create our best lives. Often we are challenged with fear based stories that keep us stuck because we're not sure who we are, what we want, or how to get it. Doing the work to find clarity on what a meaningful and purposeful life looks like, and living from a soul aligned place, helps us tap into our most authentic and confident selves.
Question: Why was it important for you to include tips of releasing parent guilt in Simple Soulful Sacred?
Megan Dalla-Camina: Guilt is something that plagues so many parents, particularly women. It can keep us stuck in an endless cycle of negative emotion, guilt and regret, making us constantly question ourselves, our actions, what we're doing and the choices we're making. It can be really debilitating and I see women lose years of their lives in constant worry and guilt. For women to step into their power, as a woman and as a parent, we need to own our choices, know that we are doing the best we can, and be present for the time we have – whether that's at work or at home. The guilt doesn't serve women, and it certainly doesn't make us better parents. I thought it was critical to address this as a core factor on women's journeys home to themselves.
Question: What's next, for you?
Megan Dalla-Camina: I'm currently in New York doing media for the book, which is amazing. Then the Australian book tour is in August and September, which I am so excited about. Then it's back to New York for the release of some research I am currently working on around women and confidence, and more book media. I'm keen to get back into creation mode soon with a new women's program, and I'm also working with entrepreneurs in The Creation Incubator, which is a 12 week 1:1 coaching program for women who want to write a book, start a business, or build a side passion project. I'm super excited about that too.
