Sasha Sloan Signs To RCA Records

Sasha Sloan's Debut EP: Sad Girl

Rising singer-songwriter Sasha Sloan has signed to RCA Records. To coincide with this announcement, Sasha has also released her six-track debut EP SAD GIRL via RCA Records and Sony Music Entertainment Australia. Stream or buy SAD GIRL HERE.

After emerging last year writing and appearing on several high-profile collaborations, Sasha released her debut single Ready Yet which has incredibly amassed over 10.4 million Streams on Spotify alone. Following this debut release, Sasha firmly established herself as an artist to watch, as she continued to release emotionally-rich, left-of-center pop, such as her first release in 2018 Normal. Heralded by Billboard as a "catchy introvert anthem", the track has already been streamed over 9.4 million times, a stellar nod for the young singer-songwriter.

Sad Girl features the already released tracks, Ready Yet and Normal plus the string-drenched Fall, the heart wrenching ballad Here, the equally vulnerable yet optimistic Hurt and Runaway. Runaway as Complex put it, "finds Sloan pouring her soul out over a melancholic backdrop as she deals with heartbreak". The song individually has over 9.3 million streams on Spotify, while her catalog has over 40 million streams to date. Watch the vertical video for Runaway HERE.

On the EP, Sasha says: "I wanted to put out a blueprint for who I am with this EP, because I'm still figuring it out. It's definitely been scary at times, but it's also been exciting to share these songs and hear how people relate to them…I'm so grateful for everyone's support over these last few months and am excited to be a part of RCA as I continue to grow."

Peter Edge, Chairman and CEO, RCA Records comments; "We are thrilled to have Sasha Sloan join the RCA Records family. Her brilliant confessional songwriting and phenomenal melancholic vocal style represent a fresh, unique artistic vision and perspective. We're looking forward to a very bright future together."

Sasha recently wrapped her first tour with Joywave as a supporting act in the U.S. in March. This year, Sasha will play her first headline show in her hometown of Boston at Great Scott on July 10. Sasha will also support the alt-pop duo Oh Wonder on several dates of their summer tour. And, Sasha will bring her live performance to renowned festival stages including Lollapalooza (Chicago), Outside Lands (San Francisco), Bonanza Campout (Utah), Common Ground Festival (Michigan) with more shows and festivals to be announced soon.
