LEGO® fans across Melbourne have the final opportunity to get behind the scenes know-how and take their LEGO® building skills to the next level, as Brickman Cities powered by LEGO® CITY hosts a second round of hugely popular masterclass sessions with LEGO® MASTER's Judge, Ryan 'The Brickman' McNaught at Scienceworks in Melbourne!
To be held on Wednesday 2 October at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm, LEGO® enthusiasts can get up close and personal with the Brickman's awe-inspiring models during a private tour of the exhibition, learn a whole new set of skills during a building masterclass, take home an awesome LEGO® goodie bag, and snap a photo with The Brickman himself.
Tickets for these final three masterclass sessions are on sale from 11.00am, Thursday 12 September at Ticketek.
Creator Ryan McNaught is thrilled to be passing on his expertise to a further round of LEGO® fans: "The enthusiasm I saw from LEGO® fans in the previous masterclasses was so encouraging and infectious that I can't wait to do it again! It's a real treat to be able to pass on my knowledge and skills to the next generation of building masters," says McNaught.
Selling out sessions since opening in Melbourne on June 15, Brickman Cities powered by LEGO® CITY has extended its run at Scienceworks until the next school holidays, closing Sunday 6 October 2019.
Brickman's mesmerising models have encouraged visitors to discover the history of the world's greatest cities and begin building their very own LEGO® city of the future.
Showcasing the life and architecture of five of the world's most iconic cities – Dubai, London, New York, Sydney and Tokyo – from castles and forts to massive skyscrapers, visitors can trace each city's evolution all the way from 1000AD to today in a fun, educational and immersive way.
Brickman's fourth LEGO® brick experience, Brickman Cities powered by LEGO® CITY has been exclusively curated and built by Brickman and his expert team. McNaught is the only LEGO® Certified Professional in the Southern Hemisphere, one of just 14 in the world and is the official judge of Channel Nine's blockbuster reality series, LEGO® Masters.
At the centre of this new interactive experience is a 3m x 4m scale model of Lower Manhattan, built entirely in white LEGO® pieces with 3D stories of New York projected directly onto them.
Budding builders itching to get their hands on some LEGO® bricks can do so in the interactive master build zone home to half a million LEGO® bricks where they can build their vision of a LEGO® CITY of tomorrow.
More than 2,500 hours and 1 million LEGO® bricks were needed to build Brickman Cities powered by LEGO® CITY. Ryan 'Brickman' McNaught and the creative team spent a further 250 hours developing sophisticated 3D projections to bring the hero city of New York to life.
Don't miss out on travelling through time in the immersive, educational and imaginative world of Brickman Cities powered by LEGO® CITY. Tickets for masterclass sessions are on sale from 11.00am, Thursday 12 September at www.ticketek.com.au
