On Wednesday 28th August, Mckinnon Hotel champions a classic pub pairing, Pork & Pinot, for one night only. A neighbourhood mainstay and proper local pub, Mckinnon Hotel is offering diners an Italian inspired three-course shared feast matched with pinot noir from noted winemakers.

The feast begins with an antipasto spread brimming with classic Italian flavours. Highlights include rosemary and garlic focaccia with smoked bacon aioli, truffle salami and mozzarella, sweet and sour pears, pork skewers and Italian sausage.

For the main event, a free-range spit-roasted porchetta with spiced stuffed apple, pine nuts and mustard will be served alongside crispy potatoes with garlic & marjoram and Italian greens with salmoriglio.

Dessert offers the difficult choice of a traditional tiramisu or pistachio and passionfruit Panna Cotta.

A generous selection of top Pinot Noirs will be available by the glass. The wines on offer have been hand-selected from fine regional winemakers, including William Downie, Jane Eyre, Curly Flat, Paradigm Hill, Home Hill and more.
