Question: I know David Deida has inspired you along your journey, what or who else inspired your latest book, Open Wide?
Melissa Ambrosini: There have been many teachers, friends and experiences that have inspired me along my journey, like my best friend passing away in 2015, but the biggest inspiration would have to be my husband Nick Broadhurst. He is the one who inspires me daily to crack Open Wide.
Question: Is Open Wide for women currently not in relationships, too?
Melissa Ambrosini: Hell yeah! It's for ALL women who want to Open Wide and experience deep love, rocking relationships and soulful sex. Men will also get a lot out of Open Wide as it will give them an even deeper insight into women and why we are the way we are.
Question: Your honest information and real-voice is what makes your first book Mastering Your Mean Girl, your blog, your Podcast The Melissa Ambrosini Show and social media an essential resource for all, why is it vital for you to be real and speak your truth?
Melissa Ambrosini: Because I believe that's what we are here for. We are here to be our true authentic selves and to share that with the world. Also, as humans, we are hardwired for connection. So when we are authentic, vulnerable and real that connects us deeper and on a more intimate level, and that breeds trust in our relationships, resulting in rocking relationships and genuine intimacy.
Question: How would you define soulful sex?
Melissa Ambrosini: Basically, I believe there are two types of sex:
1) Junk food sex, and
2) Soulful sex.
Junk food sex is quick, with no connection. It's about -getting off' as fast as possible.
Soulful sex, on the other hand, is a spiritual experience. It's about being Open Wide with yourself and your beloved. It's about being physically and metaphorically the most naked you can be on all levels and about being vulnerable with yourself and your love. It's about a heart to heart connection. It involves pure presence and wholehearted commitment to love yourself and each other. It's a life changing, earth shattering, mind blowing experience that will change your state and catapult you into the fullest version of yourself.
Question: Can you share your current morning routine, with us?
Melissa Ambrosini: This changes often and I am now very flexible, because for many years I was rigid with my routine and that started to cause stress. So now, I'm super flexible and flow with whatever life delivers me.
In saying that, there are a few things I always do and that is: I always start my day by connecting with my husband and we always ask each other what are three things we're grateful for. I then meditate for 20 minutes, do some movement " either F45, a walk or some yoga, and if it's summer, I'll add in a dip in the ocean (or what I like to call an -Aura cleanse').
Question: Why do you always ask your Podcast guests about their morning routine/rituals?
Melissa Ambrosini: Because I believe morning routines set you up for a successful day, and almost ALL the successful people whom I have had the pleasure of interviewing have some form of morning routine... And it works! Try it for two weeks and see how you feel.
Question: What's next for you, for 2018?
Melissa Ambrosini: In January and February 2018, my musician husband BROADHURST and I are touring Australia together for our Open Wide Tour. It's a celebration of his music, my book and a culmination of everything we have learned over the years about love, sex and relationships.. It will be a fusion of music, meditation and motivation and is for both men and women. It's going to be like a Coldplay concert meets TedTalk... We're very excited to share this with the world.
