Today, acclaimed Australian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Mark Wilkinson announces his deeply personal new EP, Love and Loss, due out July 31st via Nettwerk. Produced by Garrett Kato, the five-track project captures some of Mark's most personal and emotionally resonant songwriting to date, pairing intimate folk storytelling with atmospheric indie textures.
Alongside the announcement, he shares the reflective song "Human Beings," which delves into the shared capacity for connection and forgiveness that binds us all together. The hopeful message feels increasingly relevant in a world fraught with divisiveness and uncertainty.
Mark says, "This song is a recognition that as human beings we share a universal bond despite our varied cultural and religious backgrounds. It's a song about connection, empathy, and hope."
Renowned for his captivating live performances, Mark will return to stages across Australia this July and August for a run of headline dates alongside pianist Glen Hopper, as well as select national shows supporting Katie Noonan. The dates kick off July 10 in Brisbane and conclude August 7 in Katoomba. Find the full list of dates below, and for more information and updates, visit: www.markwilkinsonmusic.com
