US emcee Lupe Fiasco has attracted local and international attention from around the world since his debut a decade ago. He is no stranger to Australian audiences, with frequent tours and promotional visits down under. His popularity has been further amplified through his incredible partnership with fellow Sony Music artist, Guy Sebastian, on his #1 ARIA and 9 x Platinum hit, -Battlescars',  which is also accredited platinum in the US. They also teamed up in 2014 for the ARIA Platinum certified hit, -Linger'.

Lupe Fiasco, once named GQ Magazine's 'Man of the Year" and Rolling Stone Magazine's "Artist to Watch," has been praised since his breakout hit -Kick Push' in 2006 for his philosophical, sharp and dynamic lyrics. His debut album Food and Liquor reached No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and subsequent album The Cool attained RIAA Gold certification. His next album Lasers debuted as the #1 album in the US and achieved another RIAA Gold certification, spawning hits -The Show Goes On' and -Out of My Head' ft. Trey Songz.

Food and Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Part 1 was released September 2012 and debuted at #1 on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop chart. It features tracks such as the much discussed -Bitch Bad', the lyrically electrifying -Lamborghini Angels' and Lupe's platinum selling single -Battle Scars' featuring Guy Sebastian. Critics heralded the album for being one of the most thought provoking and relevant hip-hop albums of the year. USA Today gave the album four out of four stars while the Associated Press proclaimed Lupe 'raps masterfully on [Food & Liquor II]."

Fan-favourite Tetsuo and Youth was Lupe's fifth studio album release in January 2015. According to XXL, it's 'an album that both meets fans' exalted expectations of the Chicago native while surpassing them in the process. Sonically separated by the four different seasons, Lupe has arguably released his most thematically layered and engaging album to date."

Lupe Fiasco's signing to Sony Music Entertainment Australia marks a very exciting new chapter for the extremely talented emcee.
