The new KODAK PULSE Digital Frame is now available in Australia. This touchscreen-enabled frame is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity and a personal e-mail address so consumers can easily send pictures wirelessly to the frame from a computer, from Facebook and KODAK Gallery sites, or from any device that has email capability.
The KODAK PULSE Frame redefines the element of surprise, giving consumers a constant stream of new pictures to enjoy, celebrate and relive.
"Kodak believes sharing pictures should be simple, not a chore," said John Hatzimanolis, Product Manager Digital Capture & Devices, Kodak. "Picture this: you live in NSW. Your parents live in WA. You just had a baby, so you give your parents a PULSE Frame to ensure that they can share in every moment of your child's life.
"You can send pictures by email from your smartphone or even through Facebook or KODAK Gallery. With the PULSE Frame, you always have something to look forward to as the frame refreshes with new pictures."
With an e-mail-enabled device, including home computers and mobile phones, people can send their newest pictures directly to the PULSE Frame. Kodak further enhances the sharing experience by connecting the frame to photo albums on Facebook and KODAK Gallery sites. The frame automatically refreshes when consumers, or their family and friends, add new pictures to their albums.
"Remember your high school formal picture? The one with the big hair? Well, your best friend just uploaded it to her Facebook photo album and now it's on your own PULSE Frame!," added Hatzimanolis.

While most of us now are skilled at taking digital photos from our cameras & phones, somehow those images seem to stay hidden away on files in our computers. The problem with digital frames, has always been the effort to sort, choose & retrieve images from your computer & then update. The new Kodak Pulse makes it simple with it's wi-fi capabilities that allow you to manage your photos easily from their display position.
Download photos from your Kodakpulse.com account or Facebook. You can also email photos directly into your frame gallery. There doesn't seem to be a limit on who can email photos, which is a bit of a concern, but you can create extra guest accounts & revoke access without resetting the digital frame. For those who are active in Facebook, you can link the photo frame to your Facebook account and import images from specific friends galleries.
Kodak Pulse has a 7-inch, 800x600 LED display which is very bright while offering excellent colours and great contrast. The viewing angles on the Kodak Pulse are great, you can stand to side, up & down and still see clearly. The Kodak Pulse will connect to your home wifi network, but it doesn't play music & videos, nor does it have a remote.
The Kodak Pulse makes a great gift for parents & grandparents who are technology challenged, as you import a range of family pictures initially, and update periodically for them via email.
Our favourite feature is the collage mode, this allows you to display five images at once, and rotates the images from a file, one at a time for a continuous flow of memories. Your slideshows on the Kodak Pulse can be set at 3 second wipe, 10 second fade, 10 second zoom & pan, 30 second fade, 30 minute fade or 'Smart'. You can also set the Kodak Pulse with switch off times, handy for bedrooms, or just to save power.
As the world's foremost imaging innovator, Kodak helps consumers, businesses, and creative professionals unleash the power of pictures and printing to enrich their lives.
*Actual storage capacity will vary based on image content size.
