HUNTER VALLEY WINE AND FOOD MONTH ATTRACTS BIG NAMES IN THE CULINARY WORLD

A Tourism NSW Regional Flagship event, the Hunter Valley Wine and Food Month will proudly kick off its extensive series of themed events with some of the best known faces in food and wine.

With over 60 classes and unique food and wine experiences throughout the month of June including gnocchi and cheese making, olive appreciation, indulgent fireside getaways, weekend long gastronomic festivals, intimate dinners with leading winemakers and chefs, and certificates awarded upon completion of master classes, there will be many opportunities to learn from and mingle with the best of the best.

Lyndey Milan head shotLyndey Milan

Hunter Valley Wine and Food Month Ambassador, Lyndey Milan, is one of Australia's most recognised food, wine and lifestyle personalities. She has just released her seventh book, Just Add Spice. Lyndey is also Contributing Food Director for the iconic Australian Womens Weekly, where she previously held the position of Food Director for nearly nine years.

Janelle Bloom

Janelle Bloom is one of this countrys most-loved food writers and authors and one of the original chefs on the high-rating Network 10/Southern Star production of Ready Steady Cook. Janelle also has a food editor role at Family Circle Magazine and presents on 2UE radio on Sunday afternoons.

Tobie for webTobie Puttock

International award winning chef Tobie Puttock became Head Chef of the first Fifteen Restaurant for Jamie Oliver in 2001, a venture that teaches under-privileged young people how to become Chefs. Tobie appeared in the Channel 10 hit series Jamies Kitchen Australia in and the Lifestyle FOOD TV series Tobie and Matt - Europe and Asia. He has two best selling cook books, Daily Italian and Italian Local. He also writes a monthly column for Delicious magazine.

Pete Evans

Pete Evans will be doing a Cooking Demonstration atpete_400-15l837l Flavourfest at Hunter Valley Gardens on Monday 14th June.

Pete Evans is the face and expert judge of channel 7s My Kitchen Rules. After opening his first restaurant, The Pantry, in Melbourne, Pete and his brother Dave established Hugos Bondi, Hugos Lounge and Hugos Bar Pizza in Kings Cross and Hugos Manly. Petes restaurants have gone on to win numerous awards, including the coveted Sydney Morning Herald “Chefs hat” seven years in a row.




Matt Kemp

Matt has worked at some of Londons finest hotels and restaurants including The Square, a Michelin two-starred restaurant. Kemps current restaurant philosophy is simple: high-quality, affordable food in a suburban location that offers something for foodies and the common man alike. On the plate he artfully marries sophisticated Gallic classics with fresh modern tastes and heart-warming British comfort food.
