Georgie Winchester Follow the Sound

GEORGIE WINCHESTER releases 'FOLLOW THE SOUND', the title track
from forthcoming debut album

Rising indie artist Georgie Winchester today releases her magical new single and title track 'Follow The Sound', warming the world up for her debut album, out May 10th. Winchester will be celebrating the album's release with a 20+ date tour throughout New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania & Western Australia.

'Follow The Sound' is an uplifting alternative track that is captured through her all-encompassing, rich sound and style. With a combination of powerful, dreamy vocals and generous piano chords, listeners are taken with Georgie on her  journey of self discovery.

The single follows her career as a musician and how advice from a stranger gave Georgie the push she needed to leave home and follow the music to wherever it may lead.

"''Follow The Sound' is about me following my musical journey or 'destiny' to the best of my ability - it's now or never."  Georgie Winchester

Not only did Georgie write 'Follow The Sound', she also earned a diploma in audio-engineering from SAE Sydney, allowing her to record the track in her own bedroom.

"I recorded the song in my bedroom after updating all my recording gear. I have an audio-engineering diploma from SAE Sydney which has given me so much knowledge on using the gear and programs properly. This is best for me as I can take my time and make sure the tracks come out exactly how I want them." Georgie Winchester

During this process she also joined forces with Sean Cook, who mixed the track from Novotone Studios (Maids, Ben Leece, GARVEN) and Joe Carra who mastered the track from Crystal Mastering (Russell Morris, The Mojos, The Teskey Brothers)

Over the course of two months, Winchester will be touring across Tasmania, New South Wales and Victoria Western Australia where 'Follow The Sound' will be translated in a whole new light.

"I manage the rock band Turpentine Babycino and book tours for that so I wanted to do something wild, fresh and different. This is why most of the shows I've booked for Georgie Winchester are situated in Tasmania & Western Australia as I've never played music there before and I'm excited for new adventures. "

"I'm heading down in the van, although, most venues are letting me stay upstairs. I'm keen to meet my supports in Hobart and get to know the scene a little more. I'll be hitting up markets to busk at and playing at open mics to really enjoy the music scene and meet people. In my few days off I'm keen to explore some unknown territory and spend some time in nature - hopefully I can write some hit singles ;)."
