This book draws on personal and professional experience, what originally inspired the idea behind 'Ending Body Burnout'?
There is a common narrative out there that chronic body burnout symptoms (usually showing up as energy, mood and gut issues) are complicated and difficult to "fix". I disagree. The body burns out in only so many ways - when you know and understand these, healing is actually quite simple. I wrote this book to give the confused & overwhelmed woman the simple and effective steps to end her body burnout (for good!). No bandaid or management tips here!
What did you learn, about yourself, whilst writing 'Ending Body Burnout'?
So much. There was actually a part in the book, "Heal Thy Mind", that I didn't feel fully qualified to write, because I hadn't fully embodied the principles. I always thought that that was my husband Chris's domain (he is a master NLP practitioner and mind coach inside our practice). But during the writing process, deeper baggage in my unconscious mind rose to the surface, which caused me to put a pause on the book writing and spend 6-months deeply healing my mind.
Why do you think so many of us are experiencing body burnout?
Burnout really is the modern day pandemic. Culturally we have been programmed to believe that "busy" is a badge of honour. Only "busy" people are successful. Couple that with deep-seated self-limiting beliefs of not being good enough, worthy or capable enough (which every human has, until they do the inner work). These deeper beliefs are leading to over-doing, over-working, people pleasing & perfectionism, as a way to prove or mask deeper fears people have about themselves.
