Dune Rats Best Night Ever

Returning to the Gold Coast's NightQuarter in a nearly-New Year's Eve bash, the BEST NIGHT EVER will be the Dune Rats' final 2018 performance Australia wide.

Their announcement comes off the back of a raucous headlining slot at Splendour in The Grass, where they surprised an audience that spilled out all sides of the GW McLennan tent, delivering a never-ending array of special guests that included DZ Deathrays, Hockey Dad, Mallrat, Tkay Maidza, A.B. Original, Drapht, and The Bennies.

The exclusive Gold Coast shindig will be your last chance to catch Brisbane's rule-breaking pranksters before they grab some downtime to work on the follow up to their red hot 2^nd album, "The Kids Will Know It's Bullshit".

This collection of hook laden anthems debuted in the top spot on the ARIA Album charts and threw out some punk rock bangers like 'Scott Green' and 'Bullshit" – which landed at #33 & #34 in the Triple J Hottest 100 for 2016.  They then featured in the following Triple J Hottest 100 for 2017 with '6 Pack' and 'Braindead' dropping at number #55 and #75 respectively.

Keeping with the theme of the event, to make the 'Best Night' even better, the Dunies have recruited Ratbag Records label mates The Gooch Palms and Totty to join the fun, as well as Gold Coast locals Crum.

If that isn't enough there are still some very special surprise acts yet to be announced!  Watch this space…..it's worth the wait.

The Gooch Palms have been playing their asses off since releasing their second album "Introverted Extroverts" back in 2016.

Touring the big wide world and playing hundreds of live shows, these 2 fun-loving Novocastrians have continued to perfect the art of their loose as hell total weirdo party! Playing a show with their BFFs and label heads Dune Rats? It couldn't be a better match!

Signing into the Ratbag Records family earlier this year, Wollongong's Totty spent the first year as a band writing and recording music in their trusty shed before receiving Triple J and Spotify plays and securing slots on festival line-ups such as Yours & Owls & Sounds of the Suburbs.  This is a band to keep an eye on and an ear out for.

Gold Coast locals, Crum, (also formed in a garage….see the theme running here?), deliver an unmistakable style of rock that draws on elements of early 90's alternative and grunge. The lads cut their teeth playing to mates at house parties and have emerged on the live scene with a destructive entourage of followers.

If loud and loose garage punk rock is your jam, then this farewell to 2018 event is made just for you!

Avoid the manic New Year's Eve crowds and forget about waiting in taxi lines at midnight! Treat it as a warm up your New Year's bender  - Anything can happen at a Dune Rats show and it probably will, so prepare for the Best Night Ever!  Miss this chance to blow off the year at your peril.
