After unveiling the bold and cinematic visual offering for -Wasted On Fidelity' last month, today Perth-bred/NY-based artist Cameron Avery reveals 'Dance With Me.' The track marks the third single from his upcoming debut solo album Ripe Dreams, Pipe Dreams, out March 10th via ANTI and Spinning Top Records (pre-order available now.) Recently wrapping his Australian -Ces't Toi' single tour, Cameron is set to appear at SXSW 2017 followed by an extensive album tour of the U.S, U.K and Europe this April.
Following 'Ces't Toi' and 'Wasted On Fidelity', 'Dance With Me' showcases Avery's hypnotically deep vocal and a commanding drumbeat, revealing its vulnerability with subtle strings that provide the song with a welcome layer of light.
Inspired by the old records he loved "Johnny Hartman, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Sarah Vaughan, Etta James, Avery says of the upcoming self-produced album, 'I just started saying -yes' to things while making the album. I figured: I'm in my mid 20's, I play in a band, I live in Los Angeles"I'm ripe to dream. But the pipe dream, the underlying theme of the album, if you really listen, is that all I really want is to have someone in my life and to be in love."
