For the first time, ABC1 will broadcast in full the Australian of the Year Awards ceremony from the steps of Parliament House, Canberra. Four awards will be presented by the Prime Minister - Australian of the Year, Senior Australian of the Year, Young Australian of the Year and Australia's Local Hero.
