argonaut&wasp Loser Like You

-Loser Like You' is the latest single from Brooklyn indie-dance crew argonaut&wasp, and it's also just the first taste of their upcoming debut ep, -Ha! Fiction'.
 
Influenced by the sounds of LCD Soundsystem, Talking Heads and David Bowie, argonaut&wasp have crafted their own unique indie-dance blend with elements of disco, dance and a whole lot of funk. -Loser Like You' is the perfect introduction to their forthcoming ep, as they take us on a musical imagination of the Underdog and the Bully.
 
'This song was written late at night, in a state of utter confusion, our minds were cluttered with frustration - an internal bully and an internal underdog, how can we express this feeling of internal conflict but to have these two characters, these two iconic figures come to life through a narrative. We had them play out in our songwriting, the sound design, and the creation of this piece." - argonaut&wasp
 
-Loser Like You' opens with a chilled tropical-island vibe and a narrative intro. As the story begins to unfold, the song in-turn continues to build until it erupts in an uplifting arrangement of funky guitars, seductive bass, pulsating drums and smooth disco grooves.

 
'Ultimately the underdog prevails. With confidence he releases his anger and frustration, and he is then free, no longer held back by the words of this bull, but  instead he plays along with his guitar, dancing through his grasp and realizing that these words are only representational of the bully, for he is the true loser, the unhappy one in this tale." - argonaut&wasp
