The AATFA is a national, annual competition unearthing the future leaders of the Australian fashion industry. AATFA's mission is to unleash the potential of our youth by providing them with a world class vehicle which delivers their designs to the public and puts them in front of Australia's fashion VIPs.

The AATFAs are open to all secondary students, from both public and private schools, across Australia and entries are now open. Students are invited to submit an original garment which they have designed and created from scratch. There are four key categories: casual wear, evening wear, wearable art, society and the environment. The competition is friendly but hot with only 48 making it to the prestigious National Final in Sydney, which includes celebrity judges, live entertainment, a runway show and lots of cool prizes.
