Single Sydney women are so fed up with the lack of romance in the city they're leaving town, blowing the big smoke to snag themselves love in the country.

More than 50 hopeless romantics will board a coach bound for the NSW town of Tamworth to find the love of their lives on the first 'Thank Goodness He's A Country Boy' weekend in May.

The inaugural event, designed by Glamour Puss Parties owner Brie Peters, will be filmed by GL Productions and developed into a pilot program. Giving women a weekend of pampering, socialising and the prospect of finding love in a relaxed, fun environment, Thank Goodness He's A Country Boy will soon be taken to townships across the country.
