Visitors can tiptoe backstage and imagine life as a star with access to dressing rooms that have recently hosted renowned performers such as John Cleese, Sting, The Cure or even The Gruffalo, Charlie and Lola and Yo Gabba Gabba.

Other highlights for Open Day 2011 will include delving below sea level and exploring the inside of a submarine on the set of Kursk; dreaming of life as a prima ballerina with tutus on display as part of The Australian Ballet's 50th Anniversary exhibition or patting a baby dinosaur thanks to roving entertainment by Erth.

There will be beautiful costumes and visual exhibits at Open Day 2011 by some of Australia's most loved arts companies including Bell Shakespeare, Opera Australia, The Australian Ballet, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Sydney Theatre Company and Bangarra Dance Theatre.
