Sunshine Coast wedding experts launch new local bridal title

With the Sunshine Coast now one of Australias most popular wedding destinations, a new 200+ page A4 magazine focussing on local bridal wedding services is considered "a necessary wedding planning accessory" says interstate bride-to-be, Pepita Wilson.

"When you live in Sydney, it's hard to find in-depth information and ideas about how to plan your wedding on the Sunshine Coast. You can spend hours online, but have to trawl through so many different websites to find what you are looking for. I was so pleased to hear of the new magazine, and it is great that I can purchase it from my Sydney newsagent", says Pepita.

Brisbane brides-to-be are also increasingly eager to say their nuptials on the Sunshine Coast. Louise Hannah has chosen popular hinterland location Maleny to celebrate her wedding day. "I love inspirational wedding magazines that focus on trends and styles. I am looking forward to being able to buy a bridal magazine that gives me great ideas and direct access to the best suppliers on the Sunshine Coast," says Louise.

Enterprising business women, Terrianne Burns, from Mondo Floral Designs and Calli Burnett, from Calli B Photography are both local bridal suppliers with outstanding business acumens. In November last year they combined their industry knowledge, and set forth to publish a magazine that shines a light on the Sunshine Coast's growing wedding industry.

"Living and working within the wedding industry on the Sunshine Coast, we can identify directly with what brides are looking for from a destination wedding. We felt that there was a gap in the market for a premium-end bridal publication that offered brides a comprehensive review of the Sunshine Coast wedding scene", says Terrianne.

Sunshine Coast Brides will be distributed to a broad audience of newsagents based in Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and including inner city Sydney and Melbourne. "It was important for us to widen the distribution to include Sydney and Melbourne, as well as Brisbane as these cities represent the majority of where our brides come from. Many brides have shared with us their frustration that no bridal magazine is available to purchase that focuses entirely on how to plan their wedding on the Sunshine Coast", says Terrianne.

With more than 25 years combined experience in the bridal industry, both Terrianne and Calli have created a magazine to give brides inspiring, contemporary and chic wedding planning expertise, specifically targeted to Sunshine Coast weddings. The magazine includes 36 pages of bridal fashion and 12 inspiring real life weddings capturing the beauty of the coastline from Caloundra to Noosa, as well as the heart of the Hinterland wedding scene. Features on Noosa and Maleny showcasing stunning imagery highlight exactly why the Sunshine Coast is such a popular choice for wedding celebrations. Regular editorial sections include wedding venues, decor and styling, hair and makeup, floral designs, cakes, photography and essential planning.

Sunshine Coast Brides sourced the services of magazine experts in design, editorial and marketing, enabling them to carefully craft a package that is editorially driven and beautifully packaged. On-sale today Wednesday 3rd December, Sunshine Coast Brides is an annual wedding publication, priced at $12.95 and available at all local newsagents.

"Local newsagents have been hugely supportive helping promote the new title with front-of-store displays and posters. They've recognized the significance of our wedding industry in driving tourism revenue to the Sunshine Coast community", Calli said.

Brides-to-be who purchase the magazine have an opportunity to win a $10,000 wedding package including wedding planning, a gown, photography, floral designs, personal training, hair and make-up and three night's accommodation at Noosa's luxury Viridian Apartments.
