The award, open to managers aged 18-30 who live and work in NSW or ACT, rewards those managers who have displayed outstanding leadership and management qualities in the workplace.

The 2011 Young Manager will receive, among other prizes, a tailored learning and development program to the value of $7,500, including collaboration with an executive coach to shift their career development into the next gear.

To be in contention, young managers can nominate themselves or be nominated by their employer, supervisor or colleagues. Nominees are asked to prepare a written submission (including supporting documents) to showcase their management experience according to the judging criteria.
