Liam Payne To Perform At The Tab Everest – The World's Richest Race On Turf

Multi-Platinum recording artist Liam Payne will perform a free concert for racegoers at the $13 million TAB Everest, the world's richest race on turf. The TAB Everest will be run on Saturday, 13 October at Royal Randwick racecourse over 1200m.

This is the second year the TAB Everest will be run, with the inaugural event attracting a $10 million prize pool and a free performance to racegoers by Jason Derulo. This year's event is bigger and better with a massive $3 million increase to prize money.

Liam will perform an exclusive, 45-minute concert for all TAB Everest ticket holders after the last race, in the Theatre of the Horse.

Liam shot to fame as a member of One Direction, arguably the world's biggest boy band with more than 61 million sales worldwide and in excess of 1 billion Spotify streams.

Payne said of the upcoming appearance: "I've actually never had the chance to go to the races in person before, so I'm really excited to get my first real on-track experience in Australia!"

"I don't bet much, but I think I should definitely have a bet while I'm at The Everest!" he continued.

When asked what songs he will perform at The TAB Everest Liam kept his set list close to his chest, "that's a secret! But maybe I'll add something that I've not played live before," he added.

Payne features on a brand new single with Jonas Blue, to be release this Friday 5 October.

The TAB Everest is the richest race in Australia and the richest race on turf in the world with $13mil of prize money on offer. Prize money will increase to $14mil in 2019 and $15mil in 2020.

The TAB Everest is the richest race day in Australia with a total of $16,315,000.00 of prize money on offer across the entire day of racing.

The TAB Everest trophy is valued at more than $430,000.00 and features more than 8,000 diamonds. Designed by Sydney's leading jeweller Cerrone.

In 2017 The TAB Everest crowd was 33,512, the largest in more than a decade for Sydney racing.

The TAB Everest attracted unheard of attention in the under 35 demographic, 71 percent of eftpos purchases on the day were from under 35's and 67 percent had never been to Randwick before.

The TAB Everest has now expanded into The Everest carnival, comprising six feature Saturdays, culminating in the main day on Saturday 13 October.

The TAB Everest is a joint venture between Racing NSW and Australian Turf Club, who together share a vision to see Sydney racing continue to feature on the world stage. Royal Randwick itself is heritage listed, international landmark, annually attracting visitors from all over the world to enjoy its premium facilities and magnificent outlook in the heart of Sydney.

Sam Frost's Top Beauty and Fashion Trends for The Everest Race Day

Question: What must-have beauty items are in your purse on race day?

Sam Frost: I always bring another lipstick, lip gloss and a cotton tip just in case the mascara runs (I take these everywhere).

Question: Do you have a beauty prep regime leading up to race day?

Sam Frost: This week I will definitely drink more water than usual and do a little fake tan on Friday night!

Question: What are your must have hair and makeup items for achieving a spectacular race day look?

Sam Frost: My makeup artist, Heidi Scarlett King, I trust with everything, so whatever she wants to do I usually agree - I have not seen my wardrobe yet, so we don't know what I am wearing yet so it's hard to say, but no doubt I will go natural but maybe a bold lip or eye, you can't do both, so we will choose one or the other on the day!

Question: What outfit will we see you in at Everest Race Day?

Sam Frost: I think we're going to go pant suit or jumpsuit, but I have not had a fitting yet.

Question: What race day fashion trends are you loving this year?

Sam Frost: It's not a special this year trend, but I love a veil; I just think it is something so race centric!

Question: What millinery head-wear trends are you loving this year?

Sam Frost: I have been wearing Nerida Winter to the last races.

Question: How do you and your stylist coordinate your race day looks? Where do you get inspiration from?

Sam Frost: Michael Azzolini styles me for the races and he has been bringing the goods lately, he brings a bunch and then we choose together, but I leave the fashion up to him!

Question: Any tips for the Everest race?

Sam Frost: Have fun, be comfortable and dress for the longevity - a little champagne and a dance doesn't hurt anyone!

Question: How did you feel when you were asked to be the Ambassador of The Everest Carnival?

Sam Frost: I'm incredibly honoured to be The Everest Ambassador this year, I love dressing up and going to the races and to be asked to be the Ambassador for The Everest, the richest turf race in the world is a true honour!
