Akoch Manhiem arrived in Australia as a Sudanese Lost Boy. Hes returning to his village for the first time in almost a decade. His bags are packed and his flag is in hand but will he return Sudanese?



Also starring comedian Trent McCarthy and singer Ajak Kwai, Returning Sudanese is the hilarious and heartfelt sequel to last years sell-out show, Turning Sudanese, which followed McCarthys amusing integration into Melbournes Sudanese community.



This groundbreaking new comedy follows Akochs journey from a world of cars and electricity to a far flung village steeped in tribal customs. The show combines hilarious video footage from Akochs recent trip to Sudan with fast-paced theatrical storytelling and musical interludes.



Audiences will be captivated by Akochs natural charm and comic talent, as he encounters a suite of colourful characters portrayed by Trent McCarthy.



McCarthys previous shows include Who is Abdul Smith? (Melbourne Fringe 2008), Turning Sudanese (MICF 2008) and Confessions of a Talkback Junkie (MICF 2007). He also appears in the quirky political satire, Mo the Plumber in this years Comedy Festival, alongside Mohammed El-leissy.
