Port De Saint Florent Experiences Surge In Superyacht Popularity

Situated in a strategic location at the base of the Cap Corse, the port of Saint-Florent boasts wild, rugged landscapes that are protected from the winds, and offers a safe anchorage for boaters who come to visit.

The main attraction of the port of Saint-Florent is its location at the heart of the village, at the foot of the ramparts of its majestic citadel, allowing visitors to stroll along the colourful and picturesque quays. Recognisable from afar thanks to the iconic Mortella tower, Saint-Florent offers boaters the chance to unwind and enjoy a meal in one of its many gourmet restaurants, as well as a drink from the famous vineyards of Patrimonio.

In May this year, Saint-Florent hosted its first boat show, which was a resounding success. The show incorporated culinary preparation by village chefs based on local fishing, an opportunity to visit and try out the latest models of boats and practical workshops for better management of the marine environment.

The port of Saint-Florent is committed to protecting its local environment, and has been awarded the Blue Flag label for the fifth consecutive year.

The port – amongst the biggest in Corsica – boasts 920 moorings, accommodating yachts up to 49 metres (161 feet). Each summer, the population of Saint-Florent multiplies by ten. In August in particular, many tourists come to enjoy the artists of the Porto Latino Festival, which has existed for more than a decade.

Port de Saint-Florent has developed a growing legion of returning visitors, who list the port's shelter, tranquillity, accessibility and friendly staff as the main attractions.
