Philips OneBlade a Unisex Shaver

Philips OneBlade a Unisex Shaver

Philips has just brought the viral OneBlade Intimate to Australia: a unisex shaver designed for intimate grooming, offering a safer, more comfortable alternative to traditional razors.

In a bold move to reshape the grooming aisle, Philips has launched OneBlade Intimate, a new revolutionary unisex shaver designed specifically for intimate grooming.

The launch follows new research from Philips that reveals that over half (53%) of women are buying razors marketed to men, with nearly half (46%) admitting to borrowing one from a man.

Among women aged 18-34, the trend is even more pronounced: 59% say they opt for men's razors, citing better value for money (45%), a sharper blade (44%) and a closer shave (40%) as the key reasons.

The findings, drawn from a study of 1,000 Australian women, exposes the barriers that women are facing in the intimate grooming market as they settle for products not designed for them due to lack of knowledge on the right shaver to use (31%), limited options (18%) and a lack of skin protection (16%).

Half (50%) of 18–34-year-olds feel societal pressure to groom intimate areas in a certain way, highlighting the need for grooming solutions that are not only effective but also offers versatile results.

Kay Cho from Philips comments: "The data signals a shift: Nearly half of women (49%) say they feel very comfortable buying a unisex razor, perhaps unsurprisingly, significantly higher than 35% who feel the same about purchasing a men's razor. Yet confidence and satisfaction remain low"with just 30% of women feeling confident and only 27% satisfied when buying a shaver.

OneBlade Intimate is designed to change that, redefining confidence and convenience with a product that's inclusive, intuitive, and tailored to real needs."

OneBlade Intimate is engineered with Philips' unique dual-sided blade and new SkinProtect technology, delivering a smooth, nick-free shave for sensitive areas, or can be used to simply trim down to your preferred style.

It's fully waterproof, compact, and rechargeable"ideal for both daily use and travel. The stainless-steel blade lasts up to four times longer than manual razor heads and typically requires replacing only every four months, or longer depending on how much it's used!

Philips OneBlade Intimate is available in the men's aisle, released exclusively at Chemist Warehouse

RRP: $69.95.

Review:

Philips' new OneBlade Intimate has just landed in Australia, and after trying it, I can see why it's been a viral hit overseas. Designed as a unisex shaver specifically for intimate grooming, it's a refreshing change from the usual pink-or-blue aisle divide. The first thing I noticed was how gentle it felt on the skin. The dual-sided blade with SkinProtect technology really does deliver on its promise; no nicks, no razor burn, just a smooth, comfortable shave. Whether you want a clean shave or just a tidy trim, it handles both with ease, and the fact that it's fully waterproof means you can use it in the shower without a second thought.

The build quality feels solid, and it's compact enough for travel. I particularly like that the stainless-steel blade lasts much longer than standard disposable heads"up to four months before needing a replacement, which makes the $69.95 price tag feel more reasonable. It's rechargeable, easy to clean, and clearly designed with both men's and women's needs in mind. While it's oddly still sold in the men's aisle, it's a genuinely inclusive grooming option that feels safe, efficient, and worth the investment for anyone who's been stuck borrowing their partner's razor.
