Nathan Zahra Returns With New Single 'Memory Girl'
Rising indie/hip-hop artist NATHAN ZAHRA continues his ascent with the release of his new single, 'MEMORY GIRL'.

Following on from a string of tracks in 2025 that established his presence as an artist to watch coming out of Melbourne's scene, 'MEMORY GIRL' is a perfect step forward for the songwriter and artist as he prepares for a brand new year of sounds and creative moves.

Like his singles 'WE SHOULDN'T', 'TIL THE SUN' and 'DOING BETTER', the latest from NATHAN ZAHRA demonstrates a keen balance of intimate songwriting and engaged delivery. Navigating threads of different genre influences, the listener is able to join him as he reflects on the complexities of relationships we have throughout our lives and the impact they have.

"
'MEMORY GIRL' is about being okay with the fact that some things in life are temporary. Just because something has an expiry date doesn't make it any less special. The song reflects on how life moves in eras and phases, and how change is really the only constant.

'MEMORY GIRL'
came together really naturally. I was just messing around like I usually do, kind of unconsciously expressing whatever was going on at the time. Life was moving fast, then I slowed down for a second, and the hook just came out from humming it." NATHAN ZAHRA

For the music video, NATHAN ZAHRA teamed up with director DYLAN EAGLE and cinematographer DARCY MICHELL, bringing the story and themes to life in a way that keeps the essence of 'MEMORY GIRL' at the fore. Filming out in Olinda, South East Melbourne, ZAHRA describes the video as "a slightly humorous take on a series of unfortunate events. At its core, it's about trying to move forward while still being followed by reminders of the past. We leaned into that chaos in a light way, and honestly, it was one of the most fun shoots I've done - I got to tap into my acting side a bit. Plus, I haven't shared this much, but it's also kind of inspired by a true story."

Prior to reemerging as Nathan Zahra in 2025 with debut single 'DOING BETTER', Zahra spent time working under the name Nate Vibrations - earning praise from all corners of the industry in the process. He was featured by the likes of Music Feeds, Scenestr, VICE, MILKY and more; has previously opened up for US artist Xavier Wulf - and in 2025 he was inducted into the Converse Allstar Class alongside the release of 'DOING BETTER'.
