Get into Sydney's biggest FREE Jazz event this June long weekend as Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority presents a stellar line up of blues, soul, funk and swing talent at the renowned Darling Harbour Jazz and Blues Festival.

From big open air sets to intimate jazz sessions in striking surrounds, Sydney's most anticipated FREE annual music festival will transform Darling Harbour into a musical extravaganza with the sassy, suave and scintillating sounds of jazz, blues, funk, soul, big band swing, hip pop, jazz-rock, R&B and New Orleans jazz.

celebrating its 19th year, the festival will feature FREE performances by more than 48 sensational artists on five outdoor stages including James Morrison, Carl Riseley, Anita Wardell (UK), Elana Stone, Mr Percival, Dan Sultan, Tina Harrod Band, Mighty Reapers, Jeff Lang, The Bakery and Swing City.

For the first time ever, you can step onboard the South Steyne and lose yourself in The Jazz Club - an intimate live lounge from 7pm to 11pm, Friday to Sunday of the festival. With surprise special guests dropping in to join jazz greats Rick Robertson (Friday) and John Morrison (Saturday and Sunday), every night The Jazz Club promises something different with a majestic view of the city skyline vista and sparkling water of Cockle Bay ($10 at the door - includes one drink).

Young jazz fans can get up close and personal with one of Australia's best jazz artists. John Morrison will run free, big band workshops on Saturday and Sunday. The 1-hour sessions will start at 11am in Tumbalong Park.

Head to the Chinese Garden of Friendship and soak up the smooth jazz sounds of Jim Pennell and Glenn Heinrich as you enjoy some lunch and wander along enchanted laneways and stunning water pavilions. The jazz duo will perform daily in the Garden from 10.30am to 2.30pm.

The festival will also showcase the talents of many renowned Aussie performers including Amanda Baker, Bernie McGann Quartet, Doc Span, EON Beats, Geoff Bull's New Orleans Jazz Band, James Valentine Quartet, Jeff Duff & The Prophets, Linda Cable, Miguel, Old Spice Boys, Steve Clisby band, Weird Assembly, Zyke and more!

With such a diverse range of music, you don't have to be a jazz aficionado to enjoy this family-friendly event! Stick around for the fireworks at 7pm on Sunday night and enjoy a long weekend of jazz brilliance with some of the country's finest musicians!

The Darling Harbour Jazz and Blues Festival is part of the official program of celebrations to mark Darling Harbour's 21st anniversary in 2009.
