Heaps Good Friends I Could Eat a Full Packet of Yo Yo's

Lyrically Playful Synth Pop Treats

Heaps Good Friends are stoked to announce they're hitting the road for a national tour (yes, even Perth!) across March and April in support of their forthcoming debut EP Hug Me. The Hug Me EP features their new disco banger I Could Eat a Full Packet of Yo Yo's, the widely loved singles Let's Hug Longer and Olympic Sneakers and will be out on March 2 through the band's own label, distributed by Kobalt/AWAL.

Directed by Aaron Schuppan and Heaps Good Friends, the video for I Could Eat a Full Packet of Yo Yo's is a colourful and chaotic journey into the seemingly mundane lives of the humble cinema usher; following their shift through petty theft, mild anxiety and a herd of screaming, wild children (not necessarily in that order). The video was filmed in Adelaide's beautiful heritage-listed Capri Cinema (1941) and features their Wurlitzer organ (which singer Emma may or may not shred on).

Premiered on triple j Good Nights last month, I Could Eat a Full Packet of Yo Yos has been having quite the effect on fans wide and far. Playlist adds on FBi Radio and triple j Unearthed, inclusions in Best Tracks of the Week on Semplesize, and in YEWTH Magazine's Best Singles of November, with reviews in Beat Magazine, The Soundcheck and Pilerats, who said Heaps Good Friends are "very quickly becoming a national treasure", describing the single as "upbeat, energetic, hyperactive, a bit all over the shop and most importantly f%&*ing fun."

Heaps Good Friends – Emma Fradd (vocals / guitar), Nick O'Connor (bass / vocals) and Dan Steinert (drums) – are the trio known for delivering lyrically playful, synth pop treats. The Hug Me EP is a pocketful of fireworks, a six-track explosion of synths, catchy hooks and undeniable beats. Heaps Good Friends will be taking the Hug Me EP around the country this March and April for the first time playing shows right around the country with special guests to be announced.
