Feast In The East At South Place Hotel

Method, precision, passion – three words that Tony Fleming, Executive Chef at South Place Hotel in London uses to describe his style of cooking. These traits are also visible in the new dining experiences that the hotel is offering until the end of the year. In collaboration with Lime & Tonic, a global social concierge service, the hotel is hosting a unique take on two very different culinary concepts. Dine Another Day is a progressive dining experience where each course is served in a separate location and Tastes of the Sea, a six course seafood tasting menu, take diners on two very appetizing journeys.

Master Chef
Tony Fleming started his culinary career in London working as a chef de partie for Marco Pierre White at the Criterion, before moving on to the three Michelin-starred Oak Room. Most recently Fleming was Executive Chef at One Aldwych before taking up his position at South Place Hotel. Specializing in seafood, Fleming has formed close relationships with small, family-run fisheries across the country, ensuring that only the freshest ingredients are served. Under Fleming's leadership, Angler, the elegant seafood restaurant with adjoining rooftop terrace and 3 South Place Bar & Grill, which offers a more casual, livelier environment, have become the gastronomical heart of London's East End district.

Moveable Feast
Dine Another Day – espionage themed progressive dining experiences – present an intriguing way to enjoy Fleming's gastronomic delights. Guests are collected by their personal chauffeur and from the moment they arrive at South Place Hotel their mission begins. The assignment? Using the clues placed around the hotel they have to uncover the agent provocateur within the clique. Intermixed between the clues comes the main attraction, a four course meal served in different locations throughout the property. The menu was designed by Fleming and includes: Frogs' legs Kiev and pig head croquettes which are served with a glass of Prosecco Bianca vigna; Aged beef slider, sweet-cure bacon, Montgomery cheddar, served with an Oak-aged Cuba Libre and Chocolate fondant with cherry yoghurt ice cream with an Espresso Martini. The night ends with a classic Tom Collins on the terrace of Angler which offers breathtaking views over London.

Go Fish
For fresh seafood in London, Angler should be your destination of choice. Tastes of the Sea, a new signature menu full of seasonal flavors, is now available. The six-course meal is served at South Place Hotel's Chef's View Table, a semi-private space which can seat up to 14 people and offers views into the kitchen and a panorama of the London cityscape. The evening starts with a welcome drink in the member's only Secret Garden Bar. Guests then have the opportunity to meet Fleming where he will introduce them to the evening's dishes. The menu changes on a seasonal basis, dishes on the tasting menu may include: Angler & lobster pie, Langoustine minestrone and a Ballotine of London cure smoked salmon.
