In 2009, Poh Ling Yeow was a runner-up in the first season of Masterchef, where Australia first developed a taste for her culinary fusion and artistic flair.

Born in Malaysia in 1973, Poh migrated to Australia with her family at the age of nine. Now based in South Australia, she works as an artist, exploring notions of belonging and heritage.

Her first cookbook, Poh's Kitchen - My Cooking Adventures, was released this year through Harper Collins, and the series Poh's Kitchen is currently screening on ABC1.
