The Tiny House movement in Australia has grown enormously in recent years with over 50% of Australians surveyed in a recent study conducted by the Australian Tiny House Association who don't currently live in a Tiny house, wished to live in one at some point in their life. Whether it be for a simplistic way of everyday living or a remote, disconnected getaway, Aussies certainly haven't shied away from the trend.
Big Tiny has been influencing the Tiny House industry in Australia with its innovative integration of tiny houses with ecotourism. Tiny houses are part of an international move towards simplifying lives by reducing the size, and therefore the resource consumption, of homes without sacrificing quality of life. To extensively showcase the sustainable lifestyle you can lead through the tiny house movement, Big Tiny, in collaboration with the Australian Tiny House Association, are hosting the inaugural Tiny Homes Carnival in March 2020, featuring some of the industry's most well-known faces and displaying some of the best Tiny Houses in the industry.
The event will present opportunities for attendees to explore the simplistic and versatile life of tiny house living, as well as gain an understanding on how to become a Tiny House host or what a holiday in a tiny house really looks like.
Special guests John Weisbarth and Zack Giffin from Netflix's Tiny House Nation will also be in attendance to share their insights on transitioning into life in a tiny house and answer any pressing questions on the Tiny House movement in a meet and greet format.
"It has been a dream of mine to visit Australia for as long as I can remember, and I can't tell you how excited Zack and I are to finally be coming down under! The best part is we get to talk tiny houses with our Aussie fans, and hopefully introduce a whole bunch of new people to the tiny house movement. It's going to be an awesome weekend and loads of fun!" said John Weisbath.
In addition, creator of the popular web series, Living Big in a Tiny House, Bryce Langston will speak about his personal experience living in a Tiny House as well as how he has explored the world through the tiny house movement for the past 6 years.
Other activities at the event include many tiny houses open for inspection, rides, food, drinks and more. It is set to be a fabulous day out for the whole family (including your dogs!).
The event will be conveniently located at St Ives Showground in Sydney just 35 minutes from the city; there is free parking onsite as well as a shuttle bus that will run from Gordon station to the event.
