BU Day 2017

Hundreds of teenage girls will converge on BU Day 2017 at Sydney's Monkey Baa Theatre Company on Sunday 6 August to talk about what's on their minds, the matters they care about and the tough issues they face daily.

Staged for the past four years by Beautiful Minds - an organisation that provides educational workshops for teens aged 11- 17 - BU Day 2017 is set to inspire, educate and entertain teenage girls on important life topics through engaging speakers and a variety of celebrities and YouTubers.

Beautiful Minds tackles the tough topics that teenage girls face daily, bringing them to light so they feel empowered, educated and supported through workshops, school programs, online courses and events.

BU Day special guests include: Australian recording artist, Jai Waetford, social media personality, Sjana Elise Earp, YouTube sensations, Tyde Levi and Alan Tsibulya, actor Fonzie Gomez, Hip Hop artist, Lara Andall and many more.

Inspirational guest speakers will also offer support and advice on relevant and current teen topics like friendships, bullying, mental health, how to be happy and accept who you are, being confident and being you.

Beautiful Minds Founder, Marina Passalaris said: "BU Day 2017 is an incredible way to let our teenage girls have a day just for them to discuss what is on their mind, learn from experts, meet celebrities as well as other teens, watch dance and music performances, visit beauty bars and just have a fun day being themselves.

"I think it's very important to not only educate our girls about teen issues but also inspire them to be happy and believe that they are powerful young women who can be or do anything they want."
