Get ready to rock'n'roll your way into the warmer months with an exciting new program at ArtPlay. From dancing lyrebirds and family jam sessions, to kid's dance parties and an interactive giant robot face, ArtPlay is the place to party this spring!

There's something for everyone, including the little ones. Come and meet Woorayil the Lyrebird as he takes you on a magical musical journey with Bushhh from 23 - 27 September. Bushhhh invites you into a sharing of culture through the dances and storytelling of Wayne Thorpe (Gippsland), the beautiful songs of Shellie Morris (Northern Territory) and the gentle musical accompaniment of Martin Brunsden (Ireland).

This [Baby] Life (17 - 21 October) is a show for babies aged four months to 18 months. Watch your child being transported to a blissful place through live music, singing and dancing in this gentle show. The babies watch and participate in the experience by being part of the performance space as they interact with the performers.

Everyone Can Dance (7 October) is your chance to expand your family's dance repertoire.
Shake, bob and shimmy with family and friends in four different styles of dance including African, hip hop, swing and Bollywood. Come to one session or come to them all! From 21 - 23 November, a fantastic interactive giant robot face will take over ArtPlay as part of Melbourne Music Week (MMW). Robotica (Justin Dwyer) changes colours and patterns and let's kids turn ambient sounds into funky beats. Kids will have a challenge in keeping the adults away from the magic Robotica buttons!

The MMW children's program culminates in the Kids Dance Party at ArtPlay on 24 November.
Kids can get their groove on to DJ Qua and DJ Manchild (PBS). Robotica will join the fun with an amazing visual light show. And if it all gets too much, kids can chill out with some fun fluro activities including drawing with tape and textas, or face and body painting under the UV lights.

On Sunday November 11 we invite you to Jump on the Bandwagon; a musician jam for the
whole family, created and led by Gillian Howell and a team of Melbourne's most creative
musicians. Bring your own instruments and sound makers and a big sense of musical adventure.

These are just a few of the wondrous events at ArtPlay this spring. The program runs on
weekdays and weekends and includes free workshops and other activities that won't blow the budget.
