Trifole (Truffles) Australian Premiere

TRIFOLE (Truffles), the stunning modern fable from Italy's truffle region, is set to screen across Australia July 20 as part of the Espresso Cinema Italian film series this winter.

Australians have only once chance to catch the acclaimed film, which was just announced for a major theatrical release across the US later this year.

A moving story of family, connecting to nature and enjoying life's simple pleasures, the film delves deep into the culture, history and spectacular landscape of Piedmont in northern Italy, the world's truffle capital.

Trifole
stars Italian screen icon Margherita Buy, 90-year-old actor Umberto Orsini alongside Ydalie Turk (also co-writer) and Birba the dog, a real-life truffle hunting star.

Trifole
is the centrepiece event of the Espresso Cinema Sunday Sunday evening series, screening July 20 in Melbourne and Perth with a complimentary Campari & Soda on arrival, and Brisbane to screen August 10.

Curated and created by ABCG Film, Espresso Cinema brings a hit of Italian Cinema to Australia this winter with an exclusive event series of fresh, new and acclaimed Italian films, from the Venice Film Festival and beyond.

The series opened with the hit screenings of The Story of Frank and Nina in June and closes with the documentary thriller The Sleeper: The Lost Caravaggio on August 31.

With an Australian Premiere for each winter month (June – August), this Sunday evening event series returns to Melbourne (Cinema Nova), and is screening for the first time in Brisbane (New Farm Cinemas) and Perth (Luna Palace Cinemas).

Presented by ABCG film, in conjunction with Cinema Nova, Luna Palace Cinemas and New Farm Cinemas, Espresso Cinema is proudly sponsored by Campari and supported by the Italian Business Women's Network.
