The Money War Nothing's Gonna Change

The Money War Nothing's Gonna Change

The Money War (Dylan & Carmen Ollivierre), a songwriting duo from Western Australia release their new single 'Nothing's Gonna Change', a beautiful slice of dreamy pop that further highlights the new parents as exquisite songwriters and producers.

Speaking about their new single, Dylan says, "Nothing's Gonna Change is a song of hope and assurance. A lot of people say our music is sunny and bright and I can see why they say that, but the songs usually emerge as some kind of catharsis or reaching for something hopeful in a hard time. This song is written to a partner or loved one assuring them of your unwavering love. I think the world needs some positivity right now more than ever."

With the release of new track 'Nothing's Gonna Change' comes the news that The Money's War's sophomore album, 'MORNING PEOPLE' is set for release on November 20th.

Dylan commenting on their new album says today, "The album was recorded at our studio in Fremantle and produced by us. We toyed with the idea of getting an outside producer for this album (something we've never done) but when we got further into writing we felt like we had a really strong vision that we needed to realise on our own. I feel like each song is trying something sonically new for us- they're all little moments and emotions that we felt along the journey of having a baby."

Since their formation in 2016, their success has seen them tour nationally with the likes of Meg Mac, Dope Lemon, Holy Holy and Neil Finn, who hand-selected them to open for him after hearing their music. They have toured internationally at such festivals as Southbound, FOTSUN and SXSW.

In 2019, the band's debut album 'Home' was nominated for a The Australian Music Prize – the coveted national accolade that celebrates artistic merit and exceptional songwriting.

In addition to writing and recording as The Money War, Dylan also works as a producer and has written songs and worked in the studio with the likes of Meg Mac, Tia Gostelow, Tim Carroll (Holy Holy), Lucky Oceans and Riley Pearce.
