Her awards include the inaugural NSW Professional Teachers Association Award for Journalism, the Australian College of Educators Award for Excellence in Journalism and the 2010 Media Award from the Professional Teacher's Council NSW. Maralyn Parker is listed in the Who's Who of Australian Women. She lives in Sydney and has three daughters.
