The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) proudly presents the latest film from acclaimed Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami, Like Someone in Love. It will screen as a Long Play season from Sunday 26 May through to Wednesday 12 June.

Following the success of Certified Copy (2010), Kiarostami wrote and directed Like Someone in Love (2012) which premiered in official competition at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. Filmed in Japan with a Japanese cast, this is a story set between three characters; the beautiful protagonist Akiko, a part time escort, who encounters Takashi, her client and elderly scholar; and Akiko's boyfriend Noriaki. Layers of expectation and deception are mingled as all three traverse theirs and each other's relationships.
