Peter O'Brien (Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities, X-­‐Men Origins: Wolverine) also returns as Detective Sergeant Lachlan McKenzie, working opposite Eve as she tries to solve the chilling murder of a 23 year old mother. Detective Sergeant Eve Winter finds herself going head-­‐to-­‐head with attractive Federal policeman Jake Harris (Matt Nable, Arrow, East West 101), who is investigating the attempted homicide of wild child Kings Cross girl Indiana Hope (Sara West, Anzac Girls, Dirt Girls). Jake is unwilling to share his case or his witness Indiana, but Eve's instincts tell her to continue to press Jake and dig deeper into the case. Meanwhile, Eve's old boss and love interest Detective Inspector Lachlan McKenzie is running a cold case investigation of a murder that mirrors Eve's case in the same coastal town eight years ago.

Between the picturesque backdrop of the NSW south coast and the busy city of Kings Cross, Eve has to juggle her personal life, professional life and the competing interests of the ongoing case. What is the connection between Indiana and Karly, and how are these two related to Lachlan's cold case? What started as a straight domestic homicide will uncover secrets buried decades deep and push Eve's team to breaking point.
