About Lara Solomon:
Born in London in 1975, Lara Solomon studied Business at the University of West of England, specialising inMarketing. After being offered a position with Jaguar and a six-month stint at Reckitt Benckiser she sold upshop, packed her bags and moved to settle permanently in Sydney, Australia.

With valuable marketing and business experience under her belt, as the Brand Manager at SC Johnson, Conairand Vidal Sassoon, Lara took the plunge in March 2004 to start her own company, LaRoo and launched theproduct Mocks.

Why Mocks? Lara's brainwave came about on a trip to Thailand when she saw women selling a similar productfrom street stalls. Lara decided to develop higher quality product with designs more suited to the Australianmarket.

With strategic marketing and a solid business approach, LaRoo grew a huge 46% on average per month in thefirst nine months.

LaRoo has gone from strength to strength and with the continued growth of mobile phone sales - estimated torise to 2.1billion worldwide owners by 2009 - the possibilities for Mocks are endless.
