Theme: Taking Shape
Showcasing creative talent, the kit Design Award 2010 garnered over 500 entries from a range of creative disciplines. These entries highlighted the depth of talent in the design world's up-and-comers and that the creative spirit is alive and kicking in the industry.
kit believes that design is underrated so, each year, the kit Design Award gives us the chance to celebrate the good design that's out there in our community. This year, over 10,000 people voted online for their favourite design from the 20 finalists selected by the judging panel.
Hannah Tometzki's take on the theme 'Taking Shape' was the hands-down winner and the people's favourite design from the get-go. Hannah's winning design now graces the limited edition KDA10 Spring has Sprung Kit, featuring fresh colour for face and nails.
Hannah Tometzki is a 25 year old freelance web designer from the Gold Coast. A web designer by trade and a typographer at heart, Hannah's favourite things include grey marle fabric, poppies, clean & white websites, Hello Pandas, quiet drinks with old friends, the colour peach, and being surrounded by creative people and objects. Hailing from England, Hannah won us over with her design of the kit logo taking shape which represents all the different elements (the many brands, products and people) that come together to form kit.
"This year's theme was 'Taking Shape.' I love branding and typography so I wanted to show how a strong typeface alone can make a brand come to life." - Hannah Tometzki
This super juicy, seriously limited kit features 4 of kit's favourites in full sizes. Valued at $99.80, this limited edition kit is jam-packed and retails for $44.95. The kit credo: Our formulas must:
(1) be worthy of your time and money;
(2) be full of good stuff but without the usual suspects of the ingredient world; and
(3) deliver big on performance and results.
It's as simple and as difficult as that.
